OUR LEADERSHIP
The Physicians Behind Physician’s Edge
Experience that comes from walking the same path.
At Physician’s Edge, leadership isn’t separated from practice ownership — it grows out of it.
Our team understands the decisions physicians face because we’ve made many of them ourselves. From managing operations and navigating reimbursement changes to planning for growth and succession, we’ve experienced the realities of independent practice from every angle.
That perspective allows us to approach every conversation with practical insight, thoughtful guidance, and a genuine appreciation for what physicians have built.
Steven Elliott, MD
Co-Founder
Steven Elliott is a board-certified pediatrician whose background combines engineering, medicine, and years of physician leadership within independent practice.
He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio University before completing medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Elliott served as an emergency department physician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, providing care in one of the nation’s leading pediatric medical centers.
As a physician-owner, he has played an integral role in growing and managing an independent pediatric practice while navigating the operational, financial, and strategic decisions that accompany long-term practice ownership. His practical experience gives him a unique perspective on helping physicians evaluate the future of their own practices.
Dr. Elliott also volunteers his medical expertise through service in underserved communities internationally. He and his wife have two children.
David Roe, MD
Co-Founder
David Roe is a board-certified pediatrician and co-founder of Physician’s Edge. Throughout his career, he has combined a passion for patient care with a deep understanding of the responsibilities that come with practice ownership and leadership.
After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completing his pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Dr. Roe served as a general pediatrician in the United States Air Force before returning to the pediatric practice he grew up in. As a physician-owner, he has helped guide the growth and long-term success of an established independent pediatric practice while balancing the clinical, operational, and financial realities of modern healthcare.
His leadership philosophy centers on preserving physician autonomy, supporting sustainable practice growth, and ensuring that independent practices remain strong for future generations of physicians, patients, and staff.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Roe has served on the board of a nonprofit serving vulnerable children internationally and is active in church leadership. He and his wife have four children.
Physician Leadership.
Practice Experience.
Long-Term Perspective.
The leadership team at Physician’s Edge brings together decades of experience in pediatric medicine, independent practice ownership, and healthcare operations. Having successfully built, led, and managed thriving practices, they understand the challenges physicians face because they’ve experienced them firsthand.
Their shared commitment is simple: help independent physicians navigate ownership transitions while preserving the culture, relationships, and values that define exceptional medical practices and ultimately preserve independent pediatric care to pediatric patients across the country.
